Did you hear about the free shows that Jay Leno is doing in Detroit just to try and bring some laughs to an area that has been especially hard-hit by the economy? Scalping has been a hot-button issue lately especially with the Live Nation/Ticketmaster merger talks. Trent Reznor usually has interesting things to say and has some good insight and views on bands/promoters scalping tickets to their concerts: http://forum.nin.com/bb/read.php?9,548515. Beyond the scalpers or people in cahoots with the scalpers I don’t think anyone would feel that the secondary market is good for the music industry.

Hey Everyone,

Josh and I are in Nashville right now at the Opryland Resort for the NACA National Convention. It is going really well. The marketplaces have be great. We have talked to a bunch of great schools about concert planning. Also, for anybody that has not been to Opryland, it is kind of like living in a bio-dome. There is a maze of jungles and rivers going through the hotel/convention center. It is kind of weird but interesting. You just have to remember that you are not actually outside. By the way, this is our first official blog posting!! Be sure to check back at the site regularly as our goal is to update it as much as possible. Thanks!
